Pet grooming
is a great part of pet care. Depending on the age, breed, and health
of your pet, Dog grooming may be a daily activity. Most breeds require
significantly less grooming than this, but a regular pet groom helps
to ensure your dog is healthy. It is important to note that while
many dogs shed, others such as Poodles do not shed as profusely, and
require less grooming by a professional every 6–8 weeks maximum.
Toe nail trimming is essential
for maintaining good dog health. If a animal's toe nails are allowed
to grow, they will curl over into a spiral shape; Going for a walk
will become increasingly painful to the animal as they grow, putting
pressure on the dogs toes. Uncut toe nails can curl so far that they
pierce the paw pad, and can lead to infection and extreme pain. If
one does not trim a pet's nails on a monthly basis the quick will
grow along with the large nail, making it very hard to cut properly.
